Meet our team.

Dr Sam Saling is the founder and director of Rose Healthcare. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and has worked across a variety of practices in Sydney to hone her craft.

Dr Sam enjoys all aspects of primary care, but has chosen to focus her practice on primary care dermatology, women’s health, preventative health, and child health. She takes a slow medicine approach to prioritise holistic, individualised care for her patients.

Her focus on women’s health includes reproductive and antenatal medicine, postnatal care, and menopause management. She is an accredited antenatal shared care provider with the Royal Hospital for Women, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and St George Hospital, and is confident to provide antenatal care in conjunction with these antenatal units as well as local obstetricians in private practice.

Dr Sam has completed a Diploma of Child Health that compliments her interest in paediatrics. She uses her experience as a mum of young children, alongside her medical training, to best advise on infant and child health.

Dr Sam also has additional training in dermatology and skin cancer management, and has completed a Professional Certificate in Dermoscopy. She is continuously upskilling through Dermatology Australasia, and is mentored by world class dermatologists in Sydney. She performs minor skin procedures including biopsies and excisions, and takes pride in achieving pleasing aesthetic results for her patients using her skills learned while training with both dermatologists and plastic surgeons over many years.

Outside of clinic, she is an Eastern Suburbs local and can be found at nearby beaches and parks running after her two children with a cold coffee in her hand.

I aim to provide a comfortable, approachable, modern and quality General Practice care to my patients. I want my patients to feel heard, appreciated and confident as they leave my office. A bespoke experience for my patients allows me to tailor my approach to their unique individual needs.

I believe that beauty and confidence need to radiate from the inner and outer self. Cosmetic practice for me is an integral part of bespoke General Practice medicine. I am dedicated to making Cosmetic Medicine safer for all. 

After successfully completing my General Practice Fellowship, I spent time as a Co-Physician for the Canterbury Bulldogs Harold Mathews NRL team. Guiding young men in navigating life, injury management and achieving their goals was a challenge I appreciated.   

Through my experiences, I gained an avid interest in skin related medicine, surgical skin procedures, dermatological compounding, musculoskeletal medicine, a desire for industry reform and strong appreciation for General Practice. 

I am also a strong advocate for the wellbeing of health practitioners. My colleagues’ wellness is important to me. 

Away from medicine, I am an avid fan of the NRL and cricket. I love all things performance automotive and I enjoy prioritising my health and fitness. Music is also close to my heart and I always look forward to any down time with my guitar.
